Discover Arundel By Candlelight This December

The nights have closed in and that can only mean one thing, winter is well on its way. Whilst the weather may be taking a turn for the worst, there is much to look forward to at this time of the year and one highlight is the annual, and highly popular, Arundel by Candlelight celebrations.

At Comfort Inn Arundel we a fortunate enough to be located just a stone’s throw from the medieval town. A jewel in the crown of West Sussex, Arundel is a town steeped in heritage and tradition and experiencing this great town by atmospheric candlelight is a real joy.

Taking place on Saturday 7th December through from midday to 7 pm, this annual event gives you the opportunity to witness Arundel in a different light. Key to the celebrations is the highly popular Christmas tree that sits proudly in the town square. A tradition that goes back for years sees the Christmas tree originate from the Duke of Norfolk’s estate. The duke himself is a resident of the towns historic castle.

With Christmas only a matter of weeks away, it would be the perfect time to immerse yourself in the popular Christmas market which features a quality range of handmade and seasonal gifts. In addition, there will be some edible treats on offer thanks to the range of hand-picked stall-holders present and these will be serving an array of seasonal treats such as roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and hog roasts.
